The fire inspector did the audit for the final occupancy cert. He was young and dumb; said that my safety test lab is unsafe, and that what I do results in a hazardous work environment - doh [face-palm].
I said that NFPA70E article 130 covers this because only qualified people are allowed in this area, and that I am an accredited by NRTL, and that the tests conducted are BY DESIGN intended to create an unsafe operating condition, but that professional usage and awareness of hazard was the mitigation. The two NRTLs/NBs that have seen my new safety hole say ok, the helmet-head says nope. This will have to go the an AHJ-type final authority - so I need NFPA code for design engineering spaces.
