You are invited to the Northeast Product Safety Society’s 23rd annual membership dinner meeting on Wednesday, May 25th, at the Holiday Inn, Boxborough MA featuring Jeff Sargent, NFPA’s Electrical Engineering Department. Details of Jeff’s presentation will be in the next meeting notice and soon posted on the NPSS web site. If you will be in the area on May 25th, please consider joining us for dinner and the opportunity to mingle with interesting people involved with product safety. Registration will begin at 5:30 PM. Coffee service will be available at 5:00 PM and the cash bar will open at 6:00 PM. The dinner service will begin at 7:00 PM. There is no charge to NPSS members whose dues are paid before or at registration. Non-NPSS members are charged a $35 nominal fee. All attendees are asked to check in at a sign-up table which will be available at registration for dues payments by new or existing members. Please RSVP by May 23rd as reservations are required. Jeff Sargent has been a member of NFPA’s Electrical Engineering Department since 1997. He has been affiliated with the electrical industry for over 25 years as an electrician, inspector, instructor, consultant, author and electrical specialist. He was managing editor of the 2011 National Electrical Code Handbook and served as the executive secretary to the NFPA Electrical Section as well as a staff liaison to several NFPA technical committees including the Technical Committee on Electrical Safety in the Workplace and the Technical Committee on Emergency Power Supplies. Jeff is co-author of the Electrical Inspection Manual with Checklists and NEC Q & A. and is a frequent contributor to NECPlus, NFPA’s on-line NEC product and NFPA Journal. A member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), Jeff maintains a professional certification through their Certified Electrical Inspector program and is a licensed master electrician.
