Department Description: Emerson Product Testing Services 
provides product testing services to Emerson Network Power-
Embedded Computing as well as 3rd party manufacturers and 
developers in the disciplines of EMI / EMC, environmental, 
Product Safety and NEBS. This position is for the Tempe, 
Arizona test facility.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations: This engineer will 
be the EMI/EMC test laboratory technical leader. Test 
procedures and methodology to meet international regulatory 
standards and requirements and test personnel training will 
be the primary focus. Primary responsibilities with be 
EMI/EMC however this individual will be required to 
contribute in other regulatory areas such as Safety and 
NEBS

        Responsibilities:

        o Develop and maintain test procedures to assure 
compliance to international EMI/EMC regulatory test 
standards.

        o Train and mentor junior test personnel in the test 
processes and methodology of EMI/EMC testing

        o Provide customer support in configuration and test 
methodology of unique equipment configurations.

        o Define future laboratory equipment needs and 
requirements.

        o Define and maintain measurement uncertainty calculations 
for laboratory measurements.

        o Maintain a full capability accredited EMI/EMC test 
laboratory to handle ITE and telecommunication equipment.

        o Develop and maintain test procedures for NEBS testing 
and  NEBS testing at an outside lab

        Qualifications:

        Minimum
        o Hold BSEE or higher degree and 5+ years EMI/EMC 
laboratory test experience.

        o NARTE Certified EMC Engineer

        o Experience with international test standards related to 
EMC.
        
        o Experience with NEBS requirements, test plans and formal 
test efforts

        o Experience working with customer equipment requirements 
and defining unique test methodology to meet regulatory 
requirements.

        o Experience working with and training junior engineers 
and technicians.

        o Experience interfacing with customers and sales people
