You still need to belong to a PCS so what does it really save you? >From our perspective it was not worth it financially or the potentially negative customer relations aspects. Depends on your product and your market though and it is a perfectly legal option, so your call. ......... and perhaps UK/EU based members could tell us what their company does when scrapping EEE; do they pursue the producer for take back or do they just pay a WEEE recycler to collect...........

A UK distributor approached a WEEE PCS company and was told that in cases of B2B, it is legal to transfer the responsibility for disposal of EEE to the customer, including costs. I've seen the 'Terms and Conditions' for a German IVD device in which this is spelled out in detailed legalese. Safety in numbers. Is this common practice?
