We have a piece of equipment that is classified under EN 61326-1 for Europe (Measurement, Control, and Laboratory Equipment). Is there a Korean equivalent to IEC 61326-1?
The equipment is a petri-plate reader that counts germ colonies and determines the effectiveness of a sterilization process based on the number of colonies remaining on the plate samples. How would this equipment be classified in Korea? If there is no 61326-1 equivalent, I suppose the emissions could be under KN 11 (CISPR 11)(Industrial, Scientific, and Medical Equipment) but I am not certain what Korean immunity tests would apply. I see that Korea has the 61000-4-x series but how do you determine what criteria to use? Can anyone help?
