On a similar vein as the laser discussions: Are there any safety requirements for high output (low voltage/power) LEDs for use in household lamps? US and EU are the focus de jour.
In my simple research the answer has been no. The standards for previously used lamps exist, but not LEDs. Is there anything in the works? The design uses a CE-marked, NRTL approved AC-DC SMPS, 36VDC output.
