Hello All,

A quick question regarding the above standard - Automatic electrical controls
for household and similar use.

Table 7.2 details the information requirements to be provided on or with the
device.

The requirement to mark the manufacturers name or trademark on the device is
appended by the superscript 2) which is then detailed as ‘void’ at the
foot of the table.
I am assuming that this does not mean that the requirement to mark the
manufacturers name or trademark is no longer necessary but at some stage there
would have actually been a ‘note’ for 2) which is no longer applicable –
Would this be a correct way of thinking?

The standard applies to such things as thermal cut outs, temperature limiters,
thermostats etc and as far as I am aware, a suitably approved component
usually carries the Manufacturers name or trademark, model number, voltage
rating, and if a thermal device – it’s temperature activation point(s).

Thanks in advance
