You are invited to the Northeast Product Safety Societys 20th annual
membership dinner meeting tomorrow, May 28th, at the Holiday Inn,
Marlborough MA featuring Edward T. Butt Jr., Attorney with Swanson
Martin & Bell, LLP, will discuss what you can do to better defend  and
prevent  product liability suits.  Attorney Butts discussion will
focus on what you can do now so that you can defend future products
liability cases more successfully  and better yet prevent them in the
first place.

If you will be in the area on May 28th, please consider joining us for
dinner and the opportunity to mingle with interesting people involved
with product safety.  If you are not yet an NPSS member, this is a great

A Filet Mignon entrée dinner with salad, assorted vegetables and potato
will be served.  Dessert will include assorted apple crisp, pies,
coffee, and tea.  Coffee service will be available at 5:00 PM and the
cash bar will open at 6:00 PM.  The dinner service will begin at 7:00
PM.  If you require a secondary entrée selection, please indicate your
primary and secondary choices when you make your reservation and every
effort will be made to provide it.

any special dietary requirements information with your reservation
confirmation and every attempt will be made to provide for your needs.

Attorney Edward Butt has spent over thirty-five years defending
technically complex lawsuits.  For the past twenty years his practice
has become increasingly focused to the point where now almost all of his
work is defending several manufacturers of industrial machinery on a
nationwide basis in products liability cases and consulting with them on
product safety and products liability prevention.

Ed is admitted to practice law in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan, but
he has handled cases in at least twenty-nine states throughout the
country.  Ed is of counsel to the law firm of Swanson, Martin & Bell,
LLP, based in Chicago.   He is a 1971 graduate of the University of
Michigan Law School and a 1968 graduate of Lawrence University.  In
college he majored in economics, but he also took a heavy concentration
of math, chemistry and physics courses.
