I think it's very unlikely that they are wrong, but there might be some 
printing error. I notice that a superscript zero has been used instead 
of the degree sign, which is not in itself important but could be 
significant.

This sort of equation and a derivation tends to appear only in advanced 
textbooks that are only found in libraries.
