Pete,

If you want it done fast, invite the Russian experts to assess the
manufacturer's production, quality system and the manufacturer's test reports.

For one time shipments, and machinery which comply with the CE Directives and
have test reports, the process can be is relatively simple. However, for
machinery with no EU Reports/DoCs, best tgo invite the Russian experts for an
assessment and if all ok, quick certification.

Remember that machinery may need several Russian certs including but not
limited to Explosion Cert (for hazardous location equipment), Rostechnadzor
(for equipment requiring a special permit to operate, like oil refinery
equipment), Fire Certificate (for equipment employing flammable liquids), to
name a few.

Let me know if you need help. Machinery may seem difficult to gain Russian
certs, but if you work diligently and have an in-house Russian speaking person
who understands the production and quality systems, it will tremendously help
cut the lead times for certification

        PSNeters,

How about some of you sharing your experience in getting Russian
GOST
        certification for machinery.

How did you start? What difficulties did you have? What would you
recommend to others to make this go smoothly?

            Let it all hang out.
