Hi Ghery,
Thanks for the confirmation. Do you recommend any particular model of
measuring equipment? I would hope that it would cover the amendment coming up
too.
Thanks,
Tim Pierce

The current list of harmonized standards (published September 25, 2007)
says
nothing about Amendment A1:2007, so it has no effectivity date yet. EN
61000-3-2:2006 can be used now, and must be used for any product sold in the
EU as of 1 February 2009, including products already qualified under the older
version.

Subject: EN 61000-3-2:2006 Effective Date / Differences
Hello group,
Does anyone know when EN 61000-3-2:2006 becomes effective? The
information I
have says that it becomes effective 2-1-09. When does EN 61000-3-2:2006 +
A1:2007 become effective?
Also, does anyone know what the differences are between this standard
and EN
61000-3-2:2000 + A2:2005?
Any recommendations on which test equipment to purchase if equipment
meeting
the current standard will not satisfy the new requirements? Hopefully any
equipment purchased now will meet the new EN 61000-3-3 standard when it
becomes harmonized.
Thanks,
Tim Pierce
