IBM, Poughkeepsie, NY - Full time PSE: Looking to fill a position for a full time Product Safety Engineer; either a recent graduate or an experienced professional, with Product Safety and/or Industrial Engineering experience. Previous experience with Information Technology Equipment and the '950' (UL 60950-1, CSA C22.2 60950-1, IEC 60950, EN 60950, etc) family of standards, and EE or IE degree required. Experience with international standards a plus. Relocation assistance may be available for the right individual. -Co-op (Paid internship); gives applicant an exposure to Product Safety; requires a student currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program (or graduate program). EE major preferred but would consider any major like Physics, Engineering or Industrial Safety. Looking for someone detail oriented, with very strong writing and verbal skills, yet not afraid to get into the lab and do some soldering, weld thermocouples, etc... Good position for a generalist. (Does not require you do to Fourier Transforms in your head!)
