Dear Members,

What information required for an applicant to provide to a calibration lab? I
sent an inquiry to a calibration lab for the calibration of BiLog
(30MHz-2GHz), biconical (30MHz-200MHz), and log periodic antennas
(200MHz-1GHz). I am interested in free space antenna factors (so I can use a
single set of factors for both horizontal and vertical polarizations). I am
asked to provide distance(s), polarization(s), and frequency ranges

Learning from members months ago, free space antenna factor calibration is
performed at 10m. The factors apply to both horizonal and vertical
polarization. Applying these factors to 3m measurement is accepted. Should I
reply to the calibraion lab that the distance is 10m (our chamber is 3m)? How
about the polarization(s)?

I do have a copy of ANSI C63.5-2006 if you have to refer to it.

Thank you very much for your time and look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Grace Lin
