Do this procedure have to be followed for every alternate part, e.g. a parts shortage of a +24Vdc, 0.15A fan would require us to have to go through CQC change process prior to being able to pick up a fan to the exact same procurement spec from a different vendor? We do not understand what added safety this restriction brings provided the alternate parts are bought to the same spec. Enforcing this rule would have serious implications for us.
