I have heard that the IATA (International Air Transport Association) rules for determining if materials are “magnetized” and hence must be air shipped as hazardous materials are undergoing a change effective January 1, 2011. The rumor is that the change will relax the requirement and maybe shipments of electronics that were considered magnetized will no longer be considered magnetized,
Does anyone know the details of this change and point me to some documentation. Thanks, Jim __________________________ James L.
