The operating voltage alone does not determine what flame rating is required
for polymeric enclosures. You also have to consider items such as the
available power and the presence of potential ignition sources. Generally,
the product standard will provide a method for determining what flammability
rating is required for the enclosure. If your product falls under IEC/UL
60950-1, see sections 4.7.2 and 4.7.3.

The flame rating of a plastic is not necessarily the only attribute that you
will want to control. UL 746C will provide guidance on selecting other
material properties for polymeric enclosures.

Subject: When does UL94V0 apply?

When, or rather on what products, does the UL94V0 burn test apply?

If the electronic product is battery powered with less than 5V, must it meet
this rating? If the battery is Li?

Product is portable, contains GPS receiver, and has a 2.4 RF modem. Any
'gotcha' requirements should be aware of?
