Hello All, US Department of Energy has regulatory energy efficiency requirements, somewhat similar to that of the voluntary ENERGY STAR supported by EPA, for certain product categories:
http://www1.eere.energy.gov/buildings appliance_standards/residential_products.html For lamps, I found that 10 CFR 430.25 requires tests to be conducted by an accredited laboratory. Does anyone knows whether tests by an accredited laboratory would be required for other product categories, especially for external power supplies?
