Luke: I once set up a test station where I had to test the performance of microwave waveguide filters, and I despaired about all the screwdriver work that would be involved (this was in the pre-electric screwdriver days). The waveguide was WR-90 (X-band), but the technique is general. I just fished around in my desk until I got several heavy-duty paperclips like these:

Oh, you should drop in two machine bolts from one side (nuts not needed) to maintain the WG alignment. With this arrangement, you can swap a waveguide joint in just a few seconds. You can’t get any cheaper, and it works quite well.
