Good People, I have found the following dates for affectivity and/or date required for compliance. My corporate colleagues in Asia do not agree with these dates. I would appreciate any additional information for dates.
Required conformity dates for various power efficiency regulations for external power supplies: EC 278/2009 - 27 April 2011 10 CFR Part 430 and 431 - final action date - July 2011 (this date should be for the government, can it be interpreted for the vendor ?) 42 CFR Part 6295 - spare/replacement units June 2015 - new products July 2008 - energy star (tier 2) November 2008 Canada standby power as defined in CSA C62301-07 - for Energy Star label and report - September 2009 - tier 1 July 2010 - tier 2 January 2013 Other questions 1. I cannot found any required compliance date in the U.S. CFR, but a UL engineer said that the Dept of Energy will require that manufactures of battery chargers to submit efficiency and stand-by power data to DOE by July 2010. Any references for this requirement?? 2. The NZ website says that vendors will be required to comply 'by early 2010', but has no date - any links to actual dates ? As usual, thanks very much.
