Can I declare rechargeable hand-held PMR radios as Portable Use only thus eliminating the need to consider EN 301 489 conducted emissions and immunity tests. My reasoning is that this is their ‘normal’ operating modes (transmit & receive). The radios are supplied with a bought-in CE marked (checked and confirmed) AC adaptor and a ‘passive’ charger stand. The charger plugs into the stand, into which the radio is placed into for charging. Thanks in advance for your advice. Tony -
