Nick

Note 129 on Page 44 of "The Blue Book" states:

According to the Directives relating to machinery, personal protective
equipment, active implantable medical devices, medical devices, potentially
explosives atmospheres, lifts (as regards safety components),

in vitro diagnostic medical devices, and radio and telecommunications terminal
equipment the minimum dimension of the CE marking may be waived for small
devices.

I haven't checked all the other directives, but R&TTE Annex VII:

2) The CE marking must have a height of at least 5 mm except where this is not
possible on account of the nature of the apparatus.

regards
Charlie

Most (if not all) of the CE marking directives say that the minimum
size for the CE logo should be 5mm but I have it in my mind that
somewhere there is a guidance or additional wording which states that
if the maximum dimension of the product is less than 150mm then the
logo can be reduced to 3mm.

This will either be in one of the Directives, or in a standard, or in
a guidance document but I'm struggling to put my finger on it now I
need to know in a hurry, of course.

Can anyone quickly point me to where this notion could have come from?
