Hi Richard: Yes, I have dealt with this requirement a couple times. It places very strict limits on the differential signal power placed on tip/ring, out to 30 MHz. I'm not quite sure why Australia felt they needed to restrict out of band power so severely. Since it is a differential test, it does not appear that the requirement is targeted at coupling into adjacent pairs in a cable bundle. Rather, it appears that they were worried about out-of-band energy interfering with a DSL modem operating on the same pair. I would have been inclined to put the burden on the DSL splitter filter, rather than the POTS TE. In any event, this requirement is more severe than any other worldwide standard that I am aware of, and it sometimes causes unpleasant surprises when a product intended for worldwide use is tested for compliance in Australia.
