Hi Derek No official policy on a box around the FCC ID number. While this has been done by some in the past to clearly identify the ID, currently it is not required. It is however required that the FCC ID number is not confused with other numbers/letters on the label. The labeling policy and KDB784748 should give you all the information on how to address the labeling issue.
