Summary

RIM Testing Services has an opening for a Product Safety Compliance  
Specialist. The keys are Product Safety Requirements for ITE  
(Information Technology Equipment) i.e. BlackBerry handheld devices.

Requires many years of experience with standards EN60950 / UL60950 /  
CSA60950. This opportunity will encompass both a hands-on testing role  
and will include tasks to maintain an ISO 17025 accredited environment.

We are looking for someone who is proficient in understanding and  
interpreting the safety requirements of EN60950, UL 60950, CSA 60950  
and related national deviations.

Responsibilities:
• Independently participate with multiple project teams involved in  
the product design, planning, testing, and development of  
telecommunications products
• Conduct board and system level safety analysis through review of  
schematics, PCB layout, and mechanical drawings
• Understand, interpret and effectively apply worldwide safety  
requirements, conduct tests, prepare reports, and obtain worldwide  
approvals
• Interact with engineers and regulatory agencies to coordinate  
resolution of product design, test and approval issues
