Hi, I've heard a rumour that Switzerland is implementing EC 278/2009 (no-load power & average efficiency) a few months ahead of time in December 2009, not at the date listed in the IM (April 2010). Additionally, they will not allow product already inside Switzerland to be sold.
Implementing regulations ahead of time (that restrict commerce in the EU), as well as prohibiting sale of goods (already 'placed on the market') doesn't sound right. How can I confirm or dismiss this information? Pat Lawler EMC Engineer SL Power Electronics Corp. - This message is from the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society emc-pstc discussion list.
