I seem to recall a recent thread on the speed of light. Might have been a
different forum. Don't recall weighing in, but I was definitely skeptical of
claims of FTL transmissions. That’s an understatement.

But turns out I was wrong!

I was looking for LED replacements for automobile incandescent bulbs, and I
ran across this blurb (at http://www.ex
remestyling.com/1999-SAAB-93-5-watt-sup
r/M/B000WOE528.htm?traffic_src=froogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=froogle):

"The brightest LED car taillight bulbs on the market. Our exclusive LX3
series bulbs use High Power 5 Watt Luxeon LEDs to achieve light outputs even
higher than standard filament bulbs. With a 5 watt LEDs, super wide,
130-degree beam angle, they illuminate the entire taillight lens. With all
the latest technology on the market coming out for the new vehicles, LED
lighting is one of the most exciting innovations. Automotive LED lights
produce more intense light that travels faster and farther then any ordinary
automotive light. They consume at least ten times less power than regular
bulbs and have a much longer life span, which means you save more money. Our
new line of automotive LED light bulbs gives you all the benefits of LED
lighting, which you can’t get from regular light bulbs. Plus, this super
Ultra-Bright LED features a super blue color. This LED replacement bulb is the
whitest light on the market that you can get for your car, not like the other
"super blue light bulbs with colorized mixed blue light. The super,
ultra-bright LED gives you PURE blue color, period.” (Emphasis is mine.)

You’d think we might have heard of this in the news, but I guess they were
too busy with the latest celebrity goings on...
