To all,
Thanks to all who have replied to this informative request. Though the replies have been great in data supplied, they have been few in numbers. Only ten replies so far. More would be better, so if you haven’t had a chance please do. I’m hoping to have a summary of the information gathered and posted by the end of this week. Thanks, The Other Brian Every couple years my superiors ask me to make a general inquiry about the cost of EMC testing. There appears to be a lot of competition these days between test labs and with the downturn economy it would be nice to know if labs have reduced their charges to create more work, maintained the same cost over the years, or have raised cost to reflex higher operating costs. So, my request to the group is for you to email me an estimate of how much on average you are paying (or charging) for EMC testing. For simplicity, it would be best to break it down by the hour or by the day or half day depending on how your lab charges. Feel free to send me any additional information that could affect the cost such as the test, geographic location, special features your lab provides, speed, accreditations, etc.. Do not list the names of the labs openly on this email group, for this information is not important. Please respect the rules of this email group. If you wish, you can respond directly to me. If I get good data I’ll publish the results. We did this some years back and the results were very informative. Thank you for your time.
