Does a PC motherboard by itself fall under the scope of the EMC Directive? Article 2, paragraph 2(a) states that for the purposes of the Directive, the following is deemed an apparatus: "components" or "sub-assemblies" intended for incorporation into an apparatus by the end user, which are liable to generate electromagnetic disturbance, or the performance of which is liabile to be affected by such disturbance.
Therefore, I think a PC motherboard (or any other commercially available PC board) falls under the Directive. Am I correct?
