The spectrum was spectacular! After those first results, you'll notice the standards don't address any efforts for causing the mouse or keyboard to be 'operated' during testing. This thread, or one very like it, originated with the idea of producing an 'EMC reference (probably portable) PC', which would be a piece of test equipment, at a 'test equipment' price, intended to take out the uncertainty that if you test your peripheral (mouse or whatever) with 'PC model XYZ', some zealous enforcer may claim that you should have used a different one. Now, I think that the 'reference PC' is a very good idea, but the thread went off into orbit, as they often do, and the original theme was lost.
