Dear Ron, When I read the title on EN 62209-1, I would not expect that the standard would be harmonized: Human exposure to radio frequency fields from hand-held and body-mounted wireless communication devices - Human models, instrumentation, and procedures -- Part 1: Procedure to determine the specific absorption rate (SAR) for hand-held devices used in close proximity to the ear (frequency range of 300 MHz to 3 GHz) · Procedure to determine the specific ……. EN 62209-1 replaces EN 50361, which was a basic standard. The problem is as far as I can see that the harmonized standard EN 50360 calls on EN 50361 for measurement procedure. When this will be changed is a good question. EN 62209-2 looks also as a basic standard and is not released for publication yet.
