Information available on talks and speakers: Steve Hayes is considered as an expert regarding CE marking of military equipment. He is the co-convenor of the CENELEC group working on a new European guidance document on the subject and wrote the CE marking annex on behalf of the UK's MoD for Def Stan 59-411. In the remaining time Steve is the Managing Director of TRaC EMC & Safety. CE Marking requirements of military equipment - This talk will explore what the requirements are for military equipment against the various CE marking directives and how they relate to one another. It will consider the impact of many of the major CE marking directives and if they are relevant. Introduction to the new CENELEC guide on EMC of military equipment. - This talk will describe the content of the new CENELEC draft guide on the application of the EMC Directive to military equipment and provide guidance on how to achieve compliance in the most cost and time effective manner. TEMPEST & EMC FOR MILITARY PROJECTS Ian Humpherson is an independent consultant acting as TEMPEST & EMC Subject Matter Expert (SME) to Prime Contractors/suppliers and Consultant Member of the EMCTLA. Experience has been gained over 20 years in the industry; from development of TEMPEST/EMC products to managing test facilities. The presentation will introduce the TEMPEST phenomena, identifying the synergy and disparity between the TEMPEST and EMC aspects of programmes. The management of compliance and dependency on COTS/MOTS will also be discussed. The event is an open meeting, with all welcome. There is no charge for attendance.
