Craig,

First you need to determine if your products are mandatory or voluntary. This
can be detemined from the Harmonized Tariff Code (HS Code). You can send me
the product data sheet and HS code at [email protected] and I can check
if your product is regulated in Russia or not.

A UL/CSA 60950-1 report for ITE will not be acceptable in Russia as the
relevant GOST-R standard is based on IEC 60950-1. A CB Report will be
acceptable unless the agency you work with has a relationship with one of the
certification bodies in Russia and their test reports are accepted.

You will also need an emc test report from an accredited laboratory. Testing
to EU standards should be fine as these will be reviewed by the certifivcation
body and a Russian report will be created referencing the relevant GOST
standards

Depending on the noise level of the equipment (such as a server), you will
also need to make noise declaration to the relevant GOST noise standard.

Depending on the HS code, you may also need Hygienic certification in addition
to the GOST-R certification

Manuals can be in the English language for highly technical equipment but must
be in Russian for consumer items

Hope this helps

        Good afternoon,
I have been asked to look into obtaining GOST-R certification for
products
which would be considered ITE. Can anybody enlighten me on what this entails?
I assume a UL/CSA 60950-1 report (no CB report for these products) would be
considered acceptable as part of the GOST-R application? What other
documentation will I need to collate?
Any advice etc shared would be greatly appreciated.
        Regards,
        Craig
