Can l have your views please. I have been looking at the progress made by one of our contractors who is developing a new product for us.
The question surrounds the part which is called the gateway. It is housed in a IP65 enclosure and may be used outside. However it gets its power from a universal power supply which is not IP65 rated and clearly states that it should not be used outside. Both will be sold together as one package. Is it sufficient under the requirements of EN61010-1 that we inform the end customer of the unusual installation requirements I would be the first to admit it is not an ideal situation.
