Implementation of IEC/UL/CSA 62368-1

On behalf of UL LLC, Tom and Scott will discuss the anticipated
implementation plan of the new standard IEC/UL/CSA 62368-1. The presentation
will focus on the upcoming publication of the second edition of the standard
and will include a brief history of the standard development in addition to
the following implementation topics:
* Current status among the European Union and National Differences,
including current adopters of the first edition
* Likely publication and adoption scenarios for the Second Edition,
including coexistence periods with 60065 and 60950-1,
* Critical components acceptance and supply chain concerns and,
* Published interpretations, Codes and Regulations, Knowledge sharing
and additional training opportunities available
* Question and Answers
Tom and Scott are both Staff Engineers in the UL LLC Camas WA facility and
have worked within the high tech sector of UL LLC since the late 1990's in
both the Information Technology Equipment and Consumer Electronics product
categories. Both have been involved in areas of development and training on
the new IEC/UL/CSA 62368-1 standard for UL LLC.
