Job Description: An Approvals engineer candidate will be required to have working knowledge of Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL's). They must understand what “Critical Components” are and how to manage files with a safety agency. Working knowledge of the IEC 60601-1, IEC 60950-1, or IEC 61010 will be required for successful completion of assignments. Core job responsibilities will include but not limited to: • Identification of critical components from NRTL files • Creation of agency report with relevant information • IEC Test Report Forms (TRF) creation and updating as necessary • Scheduling and managing Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing. Work will be centered on component changes driven by environmental regulation. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required. Candidate must be able to work on a project team focused on RoHS and meet deadlines.
