Does anyone have opinions on using Cat5e, Cat5e Shielded, or Cat6 for
Ethernet ports for audio streaming, monitoring via proprietary control

The manufacturer should, in his own interest, state what sort of cables
to be used on every port, not just Ethernet. The statement may be
generic ('shielded balanced') or more specific.
the if someone uses the wrong cables and interference results, the
manufacturer isn't responsible.
