We can cope with the Europlug; it can even be hammered into a 13 A wall-socket. The siesta is a good idea, especially in standards meetings where the host's generosity in respect of lunch has been notable.

....and even worse ... introduce the Euro.

I have found that it does work to some extent as a medium of exchange.

But, you will be allowed to use steam engines again.... what a dilemma....

We had one on the London Underground last week, to celebrate the 150th anniversary. But I remember them on what was then the Underground (now Overground) in 1956, for goods, not passengers.
