The Electrical Safety Council will stage its third Product Safety Conference at Church House, London on 16 May 2013.
The conference theme - “Safety of electrical products – a 3600 approach” - will address issues of product safety in design, recall effectiveness, and methods and processes to inform best practice to protect consumers, manufacturers, retailers and suppliers. The theme for the conference “UK Market Surveillance – overcoming the cut-backs through a combined approach” recognises the need for product safety professionals and stakeholders to actively seek opportunities for working together to help ensure that market surveillance remains effective during these challenging times. Keynote speaker Malcolm Harbour CBE, MEP and Chairman of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee, will introduce a packed agenda covering product recall and traceability, safety in design and communication of risk.
