Friends and colleagues, Tomorrow marks the start of work on the Third Edition of CSA Z432, Safeguarding of Machinery. This standard has not been revised since the 2004, when the second edition was published, and there are many advances technologically and philosophically that have occurred since then.
I sit on this committee, and as a member of the PSES, I want to be able to represent your concerns to the committee. If you have questions concerns or ideas that you would like the committee to consider as we work on the third edition, I welcome your input. I cannot guarantee that all suggestions will be included in the document, but I am more than happy to bring your concerns to the committee for consideration.
