EN 55082 is obsolete. It's the predecessor of EN 61000-6-2, generic immunity test for industrial equipment. EN 55022 is the European version of CISPR 22, now in its 2010 version a product group standard for ITE equipment. Product group standards have precedence over generic standards.(though this is emissions an 55082 is susceptibility and do not match.) EN 61000-6-2 has much more requirements (7 tests) then 55082-2 (3 tests).

If your product is ITE it has no bearing on it as CISPR 24 / EN 55024 is the ITE specific standard. The IEC/EN 61000-4-x documents are the basic standards that define the test procedures. The test levels are in the generic or product family standards. Nothing redundant. EN 55022 is the EN equivalent of CISPR 22. Emissions standard for ITE. Ghery S. I have some old DOCs claiming them but don't have any records on testing. I can't even find anything on EN 55082-1 which we have listed as R.F. Immunity, Surge/Electric Fast Transient, Electro Static Discharge. Seems like they may be redundant with the EN 61000-4 standards. I don't know if EN 55082-1 really exists or is a typo of some sorts. EN 55022 is current and seems to be similar to EN 55011 only for IT equipment vs. industrial. David P.
