Hello, I have seen schematics of Gigabit Ethernet connectors that have the CTs on the input side connected to VCC and then to GND with a 0.1uF cap as a "decoupler?" across the connections.
I have no experience with sort of configuration other than to think "it must be OK because gigabit has been out for a while". I would appreciate someone sharing any "gotchas" that they have seen using this type of connector. Is this design unique or is it specified by a standard ..or...??? Thanks in advance!
