I was talking with an EMC engineer at our facility and he introduced me to a site called Banana Skins. This is a list of EMC immunity problems that should be considered for product design. Apparently complying with the standard (if there is one) can have rather disastrous results. As an example, a lady died as a result of EMC sensitivity between the warlike talkie in the ambulance and the heart machine.
