Is this to be understood as " industrial test equipment, commercial test equipment, or medical test equipment"? Or " Industrial equipment, commercial equipment, or medical test equipment"? If " Industrial equipment, commercial equipment, or medical test equipment" is the correct understanding, what is the definition of "commercial equipment"? FCC response on 11/03/2015 (c) A digital device used exclusively as industrial, commercial, or medical test equipment. It is an exemption for demonstrating compliance for the digitallogic contained in test equipment exclusively used in commercial, medical and industrialsituations, not commercial equipment. However, you shouldnote that this equipment is subject to the general conditions of operation in§§15.5 and 15.29 that it the operator of the exempted device shall be requiredto stop operating the device upon a finding by the Commission or itsrepresentative that the device is causing harmful interference. Operation shallnot resume until the condition causing the harmful interference has beencorrected. Although not mandatory, it is strongly recommended that themanufacturer of an exempted device endeavor to have the device meet thespecific technical standards in this part. Basically, the procedure for the equipment authorizations isverifying that the device is within limits for unintentionally radiatingunwanted emissions as good quality engineering.
