I have been asked by a previous colleague: You build yourself a custom RCD module (Residual-Current Device) to be placed inside a EN6950-1 product. For detection, process, safety relay control, etc., you make use of a FPGA. Does the introduction of a FPGA make any special issues for an EN60950-1 approval?
