That may or may not be the manufacturer, but they must be in the EU. That's not the same thing as an "authorised representative" which is optional for the Machinery (and many other) Directive(s). I searched Machinery and LVD and only see manufacturer "or" authorised representative. If I'm wrong please point me to the particular section of the Directive.
