We are importing some electrical appliances to Australia. With them, some consumables are required to be sold separately. For example, the replacement bag and filter for vacuum cleaner. According to “Commerce Markings on Importing Goods”, should we consider the replacement bag & filter as a product category of electrical appliances (r.7(1)(k) or just a paper bag that is outside the ranges r.7(1)(a-s).
We had a research of such bag and filter on the market without a conclusive result. A large portion of those parts have no marking on the bag at all whereas some do have the markings. Can someone give me advice on the correct interpretation of the requirement.
