Hi Amund,

Which geographical region are you interested in?

For example:

If you look to FCC KDB 447498 and section 4.3, you can see an equation for
assessing if a SAR test is needed.
You can consider the output power and user distance, to see if it is
permitted with, or without, a SAR test.

For Canada, it is section 2.5.1 of RSS-102. Again, you can see power and
distance to ascertain if a SAR test is needed or not.

In the EU, there is a general level of 20 mWatts (as clarified in EN 62479)
and maybe EN 50566 becomes used for a SAR assessment.

Thanks,

Michael.

Subject: [PSES] body-won decives - RF requirements

Looking for information about body-won devices ... not implantable medical
devices, but just devices to can attach to your clothes or skin.
I'm interested in max output RF power and if there are any absolute
requirements to clearance between device and body.

Any web-links or comments are welcome.

Cheers.
#Amund
