Sorry Amund,

I sent my email response a bit early. You asked specifically about the product
label. The answer is no. However, using the ISO 7000-0434B (exclamation point
in a triangle) symbol on your product label with reference about the use of li
on batteries in your product may be advantageous.

This is mandatory for any shipment of lithium Ion batteries. If UPS, USPS, DHL,
Fedex or any other shipping company was aware that your product has li-on
Batteries in it they would not accept it until all the necessary labeling and
paperwork was properly completed. All these previously mentioned companies have
links on their websites to assist you in labeling correctly. There are
different procedures for batteries shipped in a product or outside a product
(such as a spare battery or battery pack). Not to mention the fact yet another
procedure if you are just shipping batteries to a distributor or another office
or branch of your company. This is not easily done and very complicated, I am
not an expert talk to your shipping company.

At least for CE marking purposes, there are no requirements for any battery
related information on the product label.

But then I came into this web-site / document:
http://www.iata.org/whatwedo/cargo/dgr/Documents/lithium-battery-guidance-document-2017-en.pdf<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.iata.org_whatwedo_cargo_dgr_Documents_lithium-2Dbattery-2Dguidance-2Ddocument-2D2017-2Den.pdf&d=DwMFaQ&c=9mghv0deYPYDGP-W745IEdQLV1kHpn4XJRvR6xMRXtA&r=RsvNGGiEXp8Wa3AN0R9oJL3JV5vFvlTsmxQpMmBLBIw&m=xcQgfyviA_BjuqZY1XT9nT6SwuFq4KAgP0pK1FChq68&s=KPw4EYyrY--AyfiOK0e35w-F9ir9E9RpL6HU7rJFJnk&e=>

Should a product (with batteries incorporated) have such battery information on
its label or is this IATA requirements only for shipment packages?

Any IATA specialists here?

BR
Amund
