Hi, ETSI published EN 300 386 v2.1.1 in July 2016. In the standard's Foreword, they provide national transposition date of 30 September 2017 as the date-of-withdrawal (DOW) of any conflicting national standard (EN 300 386 v1.6.1). The last listing of harmonized standards for European Union's EMC Directive 2014/30/EU was published in the Official Journal on 12 August 2016. For some reason, the harmonized standards still cites EN 300 386 v1.6.1 and does not list EN 300 386 v2.1.1 at all. This leads to a series of questions.
What is the European Union authority for the actual date-of-withdrawal (DOW)? Is the real DOW the one listed in the EN standard, or does one need to wait for the Official Journal to finally publish a harmonized standard listing that publishes its own DOW? It is my understanding that the DOW published in a standard is merely a suggestion, but the real official DOW must be published in the Official Journal. If so, then the EN 300 386 will not change over to v2.1.1 on 30 September 2017 after all. Does anyone know how soon the next harmonized standard listing will be published in the Official Journal for the EMC Directive? Does anyone know what DOW is proposed for EN 300 386 v1.6.1? Thanks.
