Dear Members

I am looking for help in determining if all the used pins on the Equipment
under test (EUT) aircraft interface need to be subjected to the DO-160G Section
22 Pin Injection Test or not. I understand that for groups of four or more pins
with the same circuit design then only three representative pins of the group
need to be tested. But my question doesn't relate to that.

My question is it only the pins on the EUT aircraft interface connector that
are actually connected to the aircraft mating cable that need to be Pin
Injection tested or all used pins?

In our application we have address pins on the EUT aircraft interface connector
which are external wired at the rear of the mating aircraft cable connector but
do not connect directly to aircraft wiring. That is these wire connections are
only connected to the EUT internal wiring. These wiring connections are
protected by an overall screen which is bonded to the aircraft structure and
the mating connector to provide a 360° bond at each end. This cable interface
has been tested and passed the DO-160G Section 22 Cable Bundles test.

Therefore my final related question is does these address connections have to
be Pin Injection tested to be in accordance with DO-160G Section 22?

Your help would be greatly appreciated. If you prefer to answer off-line please
